Annah Browning is a poet, artist, and educator. She is also co-editor of Grimoire Magazine, a literary magazine for the darkly inclined. She holds an MFA in poetry from Washington University in St. Louis and a Ph.D. in English from the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois-Chicago. She is the author of the poetry chapbook The Marriage (Horse Less Press, 2013) and her first full-length poetry collection, Witch Doctrine, was published by The University of Akron Press in 2020. She is the recipient of recognitions from Vermont Studio Center, New York State Writer's Institute, Juniper Institute, the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and the Academy of American Poets. Born and raised in South Carolina, she is now a Professor of English at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois.
